Bertrandt acquires interest in Aeroconseil S.A.

After the foundation of the Bertrandt Aeroconseil GmbH
joint venture in July 2008, Bertrandt AG took over five percent of the share capital of Aeroconseil S.A. With this participation the close partnership of both companies
beyond the common joint venture is now emphasised. The interest in Aeroconseil S.A. corresponds to 5,570 shares, which were transferred with effect on 18 December 2008 to Bertrandt AG. 

Background: Bertrandt Aeroconseil GmbH Joint Venture
With the aim of achieving intensive market coverage through integrated development services for the aviation industry and to make use of opportunities for growth, the engineering services providers, Bertrandt and Aeroconseil signed an agreement on 16 July 2008 to set up a joint venture in Germany. Under the umbrella of the joint venture with the name ‘Bertrandt Aeroconseil GmbH’, the partners bundle their services in order to be able to adapt more individually to the needs of customers from the international aviation industry. It also aims to generate synergies in the handling of transnational projects. As a Tier 1 supplier, Bertrandt Aeroconseil GmbH supports the EADS group in complex projects. The two companies employ a total of more than 1,200 qualified aviation specialists in the fields of aeroplane concept and architecture, components development with a focus on cabins and structure, system integration, as well as prototype construction and testing.

Today, around 6,000 employees at 30 sites in Europe and the USA develop individual solutions – from components and modules to complete derivates.
